2011 Yamaha/Monster Energy Freeride Australian Open Postponed until further notice.

GOLD COAST, QLD; The annual Yamaha/Monster Energy Freeride Australian Open has unfortunately had to be postponed until further notice due to an event location not being settled on between the Gold Coast City Council and organizers of the event.

“We have tried to come to an agreement on location with the council but talks have stalled at the moment, we are going to continue meeting with the council to get the event off the ground,” event manager and Jet Pilot Director, Darren Attard said. “We are very committed to this event and push- ing the level of PWC freeriding. We are asking for a new Broadbeach prime location and need more time to get this through hopefully.

”We are now looking at some other dates that we could run the event, these include late September with the other being during the Australian motorcycle expo and PWC show which will be running on the Gold Coast again in February 2012.”
Keep checking jetpilot.com.au for more information. We look forward to seeing you at the event.
